NHS sector based work academy

NHS Sector-based work academy health care assistant opportunities with Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

If you are unemployed, aged 19+ and would like a career in the NHS our 6-week training programme could help fulfil your ambitions.

The course provides a plethora of level 1 accredited qualifications, a placement at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and a guaranteed interview. If you are interested, please email helen.cook@blackpool.ac.uk to express your interest. You will be contacted for an informal discussion and allocated a day to come in to complete your enrolment form at the health and social care career academy.

NHS Sector Work Based Academy

A partnership between the Job Centre Plus, Blackpool and The Fylde College and Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

If you’re currently unemployed, ask your Job Centre adviser about the NHS Sector Work Based Academy. The academy is a six week course resulting in a guaranteed job interview with Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to work as a health care assistant.

You may be eligible for support with childcare and travel costs. Please speak to your Job Centre advisor to see if you are eligible for funding.

Andy completed the Care with Confidence course and is now working towards his level 2 qualification in health and social care.
